Redmi has unveiled the K Pad 2, a compact Android tablet that prioritizes performance in a small form factor. The device features an 8.8-inch LCD display with a 3008x1880 resolution and 165Hz refresh rate, paired with 1,100-nit peak brightness and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It runs Xiaomi's HyperOS 3 software out of the box.

Powering the tablet is MediaTek's Dimensity 9500 chipset, the company's current flagship processor. Buyers can choose between 8GB, 12GB, or 16GB of RAM, paired with either 256GB or 512GB of storage. A 9,100 mAh battery keeps the lights on with support for 67W wired charging and 22.5W reverse wired charging. Photography duties are handled by a 13MP rear camera and 8MP front-facing snapper.

Pricing starts at CNY 3,399 ($498) for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration, rising to CNY 3,799 ($557) for the 12GB variant and CNY 4,799 ($703) for the top-tier 16GB/512GB model. The tablet comes in Deep Black, Space Silver, and Electric Violet colorways.

The K Pad 2 targets users who want tablet-level performance without the bulk of larger devices, positioning it as a direct competitor to Apple's iPad mini at a significantly lower price point.
