The RedMagic Astra 2 has launched globally after debuting in China as the Gaming Tablet 5 Pro. The device features a 9.06-inch LTPO OLED display with a 185Hz refresh rate and 300Hz touch sampling rate. Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and a dedicated Red Core R4 gaming chip, it offers 12GB/256GB or 16GB/512GB configurations.

An 8,300 mAh battery supports 75W wired charging, while dual USB-C ports (one 3.2 Gen 2, one USB 2.0) allow charging during landscape gameplay. The tablet includes dual stereo speakers, dual X-axis linear vibration motors for 4D haptics, and basic cameras (13MP rear, 9MP front). It runs Redmagic OS 11.5 based on Android 16.

Sales begin in late August, with early bird vouchers offering one-day priority access and an 80W charger. Available in Eclipse Black and Starfrost Silver, pricing starts at $749 for the base model and $849 for the 16GB/512GB variant.
