Google plans to unveil the Pixel Watch 5 on August 12, pairing the device with the Pixel 11 lineup. The new smartwatch will arrive in two sizes—41 mm and 45 mm—each offered in both Wi‑Fi and LTE editions. The move positions the brand in a crowded wearables market where size choice remains a primary differentiator.

Color choices expand beyond the Pixel Watch 4 palette. The 41 mm model will be available in Dark Anthracite, Natural Silver, Pyrite, and Warm Gold. The first two colors feature a satin surface, while the latter two are polished. The larger 45 mm version trims the lineup to Dark Anthracite, Natural Silver, and Pyrite.

Pricing leaks indicate a €20 jump over the previous generation. The 41 mm Wi‑Fi model starts at €419 ($399) versus the 4’s €399, while the LTE variant climbs to €519 ($499). The 45 mm counterparts begin at €449 ($429) for Wi‑Fi and €549 ($529) for LTE. The premium finish and higher price point suggest Google is targeting affluent users.

The price increase reflects a broader trend of premium smartwatches commanding higher fees as manufacturers add features and refine designs. Consumers who prioritize brand prestige may find the Pixel Watch 5 worth the added cost, but the move could pressure rivals to justify similar pricing, tightening the market’s competitive edge.
