OnePlus has confirmed that all eligible OnePlus devices will switch from OxygenOS to ColorOS with the Android 17 update, in all regions. That switch is now beginning for the OnePlus 15, which is receiving the stable ColorOS 17 update starting today, carrying the build number CPH2745_17.0.0.102(EX01). For the time being, the rollout is only happening in India.
The headline change is a new fluid design with responsive light effects and animations, powered by a new Luminous Rendering Engine. The update also brings a redesigned Lock screen, Quick Settings, and notification drawer. The upgraded Laminar Flow Engine is meant to reduce lag under high memory load and keep the right apps running in the background.
Mind Pilot gets an Agent mode that can handle complex tasks such as organizing photos and files on its own. Other additions include a new OSee AI vision feature with document scanning, an all-new Translate app, AI face swap detection for video calls, and AI-generated voice detection for scam calls. Users also gain support for simultaneous audio output from multiple apps.
OnePlus' global ColorOS 17 schedule had the OnePlus 15 down for October 29, so this release is a few days early, which is a rare occurrence in the mobile world. However, the company has not yet said when owners outside India will receive the stable build. The full changelog is available at the source link.
