Motorola's Moto G (2026) and Moto G Play (2026) share nearly identical designs with vegan-leather backs, microSD slots, and 3.5mm jacks. Both run on the same MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset with 4GB RAM, though the G Play downgrades to a 32MP main camera and 64GB storage versus the G's 50MP and 128GB. The G Power (2026) sits above them with better specs.

Despite their different price points, all three models use the same 5,200mAh battery. The G supports 30W charging while the G Play tops out at 18W. Both feature 6.7-inch 720p 120Hz displays, stereo speakers, and eSIM support. However, neither has an ultrawide camera or formal water resistance, only a vague "water-repellent design."

The biggest concern is the underpowered Dimensity 6300 chipset paired with just 4GB RAM, which struggles even for basic 2026 tasks. The HD+ resolution downgrade from previous models further limits their appeal. While the premium-feeling design and headphone jack are nice touches, these budget phones face stiff competition from more capable alternatives at similar price points.
