Meta unveiled two new smart glasses at Meta Connect 2026: the Meta VR Glasses and the Ray-Ban Meta Audio. The Meta VR Glasses use a two-part system where the frames house the display and sensors, while a connected puck handles computing, storage, and battery. The glasses weigh just 100 grams and feature micro OLED displays with 5K resolution, 37 pixels per degree, and Dolby Vision support. The frames include Dolby Atmos speakers, and the device runs Meta AI with eye and hand gesture controls. Powered by the Snapdragon Reality Elite chipset, the VR Glasses offer up to three hours of usage with 45W fast charging via the puck. They are IMAX Enhanced certified and support 3D movies and Xbox Cloud Gaming. Hologram Calling creates photorealistic user representations for video calls. The Meta VR Glasses launch Spring 2027 at $1,299.

The Ray-Ban Meta Audio are Meta's first camera-free, audio-only smart glasses, weighing 43 grams with up to 12 hours of battery life, or 48 hours with the charging case. Available in 23 color and lens combinations across Clubmaster and Burbank styles, they are priced at $349 and go on sale October 13.
