Indian phone maker Lava has launched the Bold N2 Pro, a budget 4G smartphone that bucks naming conventions by being smaller and cheaper than its non-Pro sibling. The device features a 6.67-inch 120Hz LCD with 720p+ resolution, powered by a Unisoc T7250 chipset with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage.

Running Android 15, the Bold N2 Pro offers only a single OS update and two years of security patches, missing out on the upcoming Android 17. The phone packs a 5,000mAh battery with 18W charging support, though it ships with only a 10W charger. Lava Bold N2 Pro buyers get a 50MP rear camera and 8MP front camera, representing a significant upgrade from the regular N2's 13MP/5MP setup.

Priced at ₹8,000 (down from ₹10,500) on Flipkart, the Bold N2 Pro comes in Eclipse Grey and Aurora Gold finishes with an IP54 rating. This positioning creates an unusual market situation where the Pro model costs less than the regular N2, which remains listed at ₹9,000 despite being out of stock. The Bold N2 Pro's combination of modern display technology and improved cameras at a lower price point makes it an intriguing option in the budget 4G segment, even if its naming strategy leaves consumers scratching their heads.
