Apple rolled out iOS 27 beta 2 at WWDC, adding a suite of refinements for developers. The headline feature, Write with Siri, replaces the old Writing Tools shortcut and sits directly on the keyboard. Users can dictate, proofread or rewrite passages, with Siri pulling context from Messages, Mail and other documents. Integration promises smoother AI‑assisted writing across the OS.

Messaging gets a boost as iOS 27 beta 2 improves RCS support. Tapback emojis render correctly and inline replies appear natively, enabling Android users to see iPhone replies in real time. The change closes a long‑standing compatibility gap and could reduce friction for cross‑platform chats, a notable step for Apple’s push into richer messaging standards.

Wallet gains a Spending Insights screen, now rolling out to additional regions in beta 2. It breaks spend data into daily, monthly or yearly views, giving users a clearer picture of their habits. The significant update also fixes firmware‑update bugs for AirPods Max 2 and lets the Home app push Apple TV 4K updates remotely. Developers still need to wait for the open beta before the September launch alongside the iPhone 18 Pro line.
