Honor introduced the X7e 4G earlier this month, and regulators in the UAE have now certified a 5G‑capable variant. The device, listed as the X7e Plus 5G in the TDRA database and mirrored in SGS records, signals the brand’s intent to expand the lineup beyond the original model. Certification suggests the phone will also reach EU and Saudi markets.

Details beyond the 5G label remain scarce; the certification does not disclose chipset, memory or camera modules. The existing X7e 4G ships with a 6.61‑inch 720×1604 LCD, 120 Hz refresh, 1,010‑nit peak brightness, MediaTek Helio G81, 6 GB RAM, 128/256 GB storage, 50 MP rear sensor, 5 MP front camera, and a 7,500 mAh battery with 45 W wired charging. Consumers can expect a similar chassis but with cellular upgrades.

If the Plus version mirrors the 4G’s design, the added 5G modem could make the X7e line competitive in mid‑range markets where price sensitivity meets demand for faster data. Retailers in the UAE may list it soon, and the broader regional rollout could pressure rivals to certify their own budget 5G handsets. The X7e Plus 5G is now officially cleared for sale.
