Honor has launched the Watch GS 5 in China, succeeding the Watch GS 3. The smartwatch features a 1.32-inch circular AMOLED display with 1,500 nits brightness and a lightweight 44mm aluminum alloy case. It's rated for IP68 and 5ATM water resistance, making it a durable, premium wearable option.

The company claims its standout feature is a 495mAh silicon-carbon battery delivering up to 23 days of use without the always-on display. This positions the GS 5 as a direct competitor to long-lasting watches from Garmin and Amazfit, which often prioritize battery life over smart features.

Beyond battery life, the watch includes advanced health monitoring for conditions like atrial fibrillation and sleep apnea. It also supports Bluetooth calling, NFC, and five satellite positioning systems. Currently available for pre-order in China, it's priced at CNY 699 (approximately $100).
