Google Health Now Syncs Fitbit Data to Apple Health

When Google launched its new Fitbit Air devices, the company announced a somewhat surprising new feature that lets you import Apple Health data recorded by your Apple Watch and other Health Kit‑connected apps and devices. This long‑requested feature dates back to 2014 when Apple Health first launched. However, syncing your data the other way remained impossible until now.

With the new version of Google Health for iOS (5.05), your Fitbit data can finally be stored in your Apple Health account. Two‑way syncing is finally a thing. Workout history, sleep, vitals, steps and all kinds of Fitbit data can now be synced to Apple Health and other Health Kit‑compatible apps. You just have to grant all permissions required for syncing.

The version of Google Health is already available on the App Store for iOS. This development marks a significant step forward for users who rely on both ecosystems, eliminating the previous one‑way limitation and providing a more seamless health‑tracking experience across devices.
