Samsung's Galaxy Z8 foldables and new smartwatches are now available globally following the official Friday launch. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 leads pre-orders at 40% in Europe and 70% in Korea. Amazon briefly offered €400 off the Z Fold8 and Z Fold8 Ultra, though that deal has expired. The Z Fold8 Ultra features a larger 5,000mAh battery and improvements over the Z Fold7. Unlike the Folds, the Z Flip8 uses an Exynos 2600 chipset in Europe and carries a €340 straight discount still active. The Samsung Galaxy Watch9 introduces a Snapdragon Wear Elite chipset with modest battery bumps, while the Galaxy Watch Ultra2 upgrades to IP69K water resistance and an 800mAh battery using Si/C tech. Watch9 gets €100 off for Prime members, and the Ultra2 offers €150 off with the same Prime restriction.

The Motorola Razr Fold competes with the Z Fold8 Ultra, featuring a larger 6,000mAh battery but scoring lower on active use at 16h versus 13h. It uses a non-Elite Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor. The Razr 70+ pairs Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 with a 4,500mAh battery, while the Razr 70 is a more affordable Dimensity 7450X-powered option. Both Razr models include free Moto Watch Fit and Buds Loop, as does the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion.

The Edge 70 Fusion offers solid mid-range specs at €350 including a 6.78" OLED display, Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, 5,200mAh battery, and 68W wired charging. Google's Pixel 11 series launches next week, though no new a-model is expected soon after the Pixel 10a's February release.

Samsung leads foldables with strong pre-order numbers, while Motorola and Google offer competitive alternatives across different price points.
