Multiple Android manufacturers are entering the wide-screen foldable market. vivo, Oppo, and Honor are reportedly developing their own wide foldables to compete with Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Z Fold8 Wide. vivo's X Fold6 is expected to feature a less noticeable display crease, with the company planning future models with wider displays that could redefine the user experience.

Oppo is currently testing a wide foldable smartphone, while Honor has been working on its own wide foldable device for some time and may unveil it soon. This follows Huawei's recent introduction of the Pura X Max, which features one of the widest displays on a foldable device to date, though with an unconventional design that has divided consumer opinions.

The push toward wider foldable screens suggests manufacturers see this as the next evolution in the foldable market. Apple is also rumored to be developing a wide-screen foldable iPhone that could debut later this year as the iPhone Ultra. The competition in this segment appears to be intensifying rapidly, potentially driving innovation and lowering prices for consumers.
