The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Wide will be positioned between the Z Flip and Z Fold models as a horizontal foldable device with a wider aspect ratio screen than the Z Fold8's squarish proportions. According to recent reports from GalaxyClub and SamMobile, the device will feature a 50MP f/1.8 main camera rather than the previously rumored 200MP sensor, positioning it closer to the Flip in terms of camera hardware. The ultra-wide camera will be a 50MP f/1.9 sensor, matching the Z Fold8's quality and surpassing the rumored 12MP ultra-wide on the Z Flip8. The device will lack a dedicated telephoto camera, resulting in zoom capabilities comparable to the Galaxy Z Flip8. On the positive side, the Galaxy Z Fold Wide will include two 10MP selfie cameras (one on each screen) with smaller punch holes similar to the Z Fold8. Battery capacity has been confirmed at 4,800mAh, larger than the Z Fold7's 4,400mAh. The Galaxy Unpacked event for the new Z foldables is expected on July 22.
