Weber is finally bringing smart connectivity to its charcoal grills with the new Performer Smart Charcoal Grill and Kettle Smart Ring. Both integrate the Weber Connect platform for remote temperature control via a Wi-Fi LCD controller and app. This marks the company's first Wi-Fi-equipped charcoal offering, expanding its smart lineup that began with gas and pellet models in 2020.

The Performer Smart Charcoal Grill automates airflow to regulate temperature for long cooks and smoking, with a Rapidfire Assist mode for faster lighting. It’s an upgraded version of existing Performer models, retaining manual controls and the One-Touch cleaning system. Priced at $599 for a basic cart and $799 for a premium version with storage, it arrives this spring and summer.

For existing kettle owners, the $280 Kettle Smart Ring adds the same automation and app control to standard 22-inch grills. Weber is also addressing its lag in wireless probes, launching a $70 Smart Wireless Probe and a $115 model with a range booster. Updated Genesis and Spirit Smart Gas Grills, starting at $599, will also launch this spring.
