Toy Fair 2026 wrapped up this week at New York's Javits Center, showcasing hundreds of new products that will shape the toy industry for the rest of the year. From nostalgic revivals to cutting-edge tech toys, the event featured something for every age group and interest. Here are some of the most exciting releases that caught my attention.

Transformers: The Movie marks its 40th anniversary with an ambitious new figure lineup from Hasbro, including Astrotrain, Skywarp, Snarl and Shockwave. The crown jewel is a near-life-size Matrix of Leadership measuring over 15 inches wide that plays Stan Bush's iconic "The Touch" song. While the Matrix has already sold out, pre-orders remain available for other figures ranging from $28 to $60. Meanwhile, Hot Wheels is targeting the F1 craze with detailed 1:64 scale racecars featuring metal bodies and rubber tires, plus a new Downhill Circuit Race course with three official vehicles.

Lego unveiled eight new Star Wars sets featuring its innovative Smart Brick technology, with prices ranging from $40 to $160. Standout kits include the Millennium Falcon, Luke's Red Five X-Wing and Darth Vader's TIE fighter, all offering reactive lights and sounds. The sets ship March 1, though buyers should note that some require additional Smart Bricks for full interactivity. Other highlights include Mattel's K-pop Demon Hunters dolls, Spin Master's interactive Hatchin' Yoshi ($50), and Thames & Kosmos' educational SolarFlowers kits.

From nostalgic reboots to interactive tech toys, Toy Fair 2026 demonstrated the industry's continued innovation while honoring classic franchises that have defined generations of play.
