Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio has expanded the scope of its upcoming title *Stranger Than Heaven*, revealing it will span five distinct time periods: 1915, 1929, 1943, 1951, and 1965. The game's narrative will unfold across five different cities, with the 1965 setting appearing to be Kamurocho, the studio's fictionalized version of Tokyo's Kabukicho district from its popular Yakuza series.

The project appears to share Yakuza's signature aesthetics and potentially its combat mechanics, though the studio hasn't confirmed a direct connection to the franchise. Fans speculate the game might explore the origins of yakuza clans that appear throughout the series. One time period seems set in winter, while another focuses on a hot spring town.

RGG Studio plans to share additional information during an Xbox stream scheduled for May 6 at 7PM Eastern. Despite partnering with Xbox for reveals, the game will launch across multiple platforms, including PS5 and Steam, making it accessible to both console and PC players.
