Spotify Adds Song Notes for Playlists

Spotify has introduced a new "User Notes" feature, allowing listeners to add personal captions to songs within their curated playlists. These notes can serve as digital liner notes, recalling memories associated with a track, its discovery, or who introduced the listener to an artist. The feature aims to bring a personal touch to the streaming experience, reminiscent of creating mixtapes or mix CDs from the past.

User Notes are available to Spotify users aged 16 and older, across both paid and free plans. However, the feature is currently limited to select markets. The notes are visible to anyone who can view a playlist, prompting users to review their sharing settings. To add a note, users can access the three-dot menu next to a track listing and select the "Add note" option.
