Screen Burn Interactive announced Silent Hill: Townfall launches September 24, 2026 for PC and PlayStation 5. The game takes place in the 1990s on St. Amelia, a fog-shrouded Scottish island abandoned under mysterious circumstances. Players control Simon Ordell, who repeatedly awakens in the island's waters armed with a portable TV while being hunted by monsters.

Townfall marks a departure for the franchise as a first-person experience, incorporating puzzle elements alongside the series' signature psychological horror. The game explores themes of familial drama and trauma through its red-lit terror sequences. Screen Burn previously earned acclaim for horror titles Stories Untold and Observation.

This release joins Konami's ongoing Silent Hill franchise revival, which already includes the well-received Silent Hill 2 remake from Bloober Team and Silent Hill: f. The latter title, set in 1960s rural Japan, has been praised for its blood-stained atmosphere, melee combat, and monsters born from childhood trauma.

Konami's multi-studio approach to reviving Silent Hill demonstrates confidence in the property's continued relevance. While Townfall introduces fresh mechanics and perspective, it maintains the psychological horror DNA that defines the series. The September release positions it as the third major entry in this revival timeline.
