The running app Runna has introduced a new "Adapt for Heat" feature that automatically modifies workout sessions based on local heat and humidity. This tool adjusts running speeds, taking into account individual user data and personalized training plans. The feature also provides a color-coded hourly weather forecast to help users schedule their runs during cooler times.

This update comes as many regions experience record heat waves and rising global temperatures. The "Adapt for Heat" feature is available now for all Runna subscribers.

In addition to weather-adaptive training, Runna is rolling out "Upcoming Plans" in August, allowing users to create training plans up to a year in advance. A revamped Post-Race Recovery Plan is also set to launch next month, offering structured recovery guidance. Runna, recently acquired by Strava, is known for its personalized running plans and coaching.
