HyperMegaTech! is launching the Super Pocket Rare Edition handheld, a vertical gaming device that comes pre-loaded with 14 classic titles from Rare Ltd. The $69.99 device includes Banjo-Kazooie, originally a Nintendo 64 title, alongside two Battletoads games and Conker's Pocket Tales. This marks a significant collaboration between HyperMegaTech! and the British developer known for Sea of Thieves.

While most included games originated on 8- or 16-bit consoles, Banjo-Kazooie stands out as the headliner. Controlling the N64 classic with just a D-pad might seem unusual, but HyperMegaTech! promises the game has been enhanced and optimized specifically for the Super Pocket's hardware. The device features a vertical orientation reminiscent of retro handhelds.

Through shared parent company Blaze Entertainment, the Rare Edition will be compatible with Evercade cartridges, allowing users to expand beyond the included library. Additional cartridges featuring collections from Taito, NeoGeo, and Atari will be available. Preorders are open now ahead of the June 2026 release, offering retro gaming enthusiasts a compact way to revisit Rare's catalog without tracking down original hardware.
