Pokémon Pokopia, the charming Switch 2 exclusive, is set to receive its first paid DLC, Bubbly Basin, on August 5. This expansion introduces a new underwater area, reminiscent of Cerulean City ruins, accessible via the new Dive move. This move will also be a free update for all players, enabling underwater exploration in existing environments.

Bubbly Basin focuses on attracting water Pokémon by creating habitats. Unique to this underwater locale are buoyant blocks, allowing for three-dimensional builds previously impossible. Players can also expect new seafloor-themed decorative items and secrets, including a mysterious "deep, dark hole." A new crop, watermelon, and a resource-rich Dream Island are also included.

The Bubbly Basin DLC is part of the Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass, priced at $35, which grants access to all three planned DLC drops. Purchasers will also receive bonus recipes and 30 rare Pokémetal ingots. The game itself, a blend of Pokémon, Minecraft, and Stardew Valley, centers on rebuilding environments and attracting Pokémon after an apocalyptic event.
