Nintendo announced during its Zelda-focused Direct that the Switch 2 remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time will launch on November 5. The remake features a visual overhaul, enhanced environmental detail, modern camera controls, a jump button, and added voice acting while preserving the original 1998 game's formula and dungeon structure. Nintendo confirmed faithful recreation of iconic areas like Kokiri Forest, Hyrule Field, and Hyrule Castle Town, with Epona appearing as Link's rideable horse.

A new quest log helps track progress, and item switching has been streamlined with modern shortcuts. Players can hum ocarina songs into the Switch 2 microphone instead of using button prompts. The remake welcomes both longtime fans and newcomers from recent Switch Zelda titles.

Nintendo also unveiled a Legend of Zelda-themed Switch 2 console with custom Joy-Con, dock, and console graphics. This announcement follows the June reveal and precedes a general Nintendo Direct scheduled for tomorrow at 10am ET.
