NVIDIA unveiled the RTX Spark, a new "superchip" designed for Windows laptops and desktops. The company claims it delivers 1 petaflop of AI computing power with 6,144 Blackwell RTX cores and 20 Mediatek Arm CPU cores. Similar to the RTX 5070 laptop GPU but with significantly lower power consumption, the RTX Spark will power systems including the Surface Laptop Ultra and Dell XPS 16.

The RTX Spark features a unified memory pool ranging from 16GB to 128GB and power consumption between single-digit wattage up to 80W. Its NPU meets Microsoft's 40 TOPS requirement for Copilot+ compatibility. NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang positions this chip as part of a complete reinvention of the PC, transforming devices from tools for manual input to platforms for AI agents.

Microsoft collaborated with NVIDIA for "several years" optimizing Windows 11 for the RTX Spark. The company also worked with every major anti-cheat provider to ensure gaming compatibility. Unlike the $3,999 DGX Spark AI mini-desktop, the RTX Spark targets content creators and AI development newcomers, marking NVIDIA's first consumer SOC since the Tegra era.
