NVIDIA launched the Isaac Gr00t humanoid robot platform at Computex, combining a Unitree H2 Plus chassis with Sharpa five-finger hands and Jetson Thor compute. Designed for researchers, the platform aims to accelerate humanoid development workflows through open software and models.

The nearly 6-foot tall robot weighs 150 pounds with 31 degrees of freedom. It features dual Sharpa Wave tactile hands with 22 degrees of freedom each, multi-view sensing, and arm torque up to 120 Newton-meters. Powered by NVIDIA's Jetson AGX Thor with Blackwell GPU, it offers 128GB unified memory and 3 hours of battery life.

Multiple institutions including ETH Zurich and Stanford Robotics Center will use the reference design. "Robotics moves fastest when researchers can build on open platforms, share code and test ideas on real machines," said Stanford's Steve Cousins. The platform could significantly advance humanoid robotics research through shared development resources.
