During Sony’s State of Play livestream, indie studio Nomada Studio unveiled a new downloadable expansion for its acclaimed puzzle‑platformer *Neva*. Titled Neva: Prologue, the prequel follows heroine Alba as she pursues a swarm of white butterflies into a corrupted swamp, where she encounters a frightened wolf cub and must earn its trust to survive.

The DLC is intended for players who have finished the base game. It introduces three fresh locales, each with its own gameplay twist, alongside new enemy types and a series of demanding boss encounters. Completionists can also hunt down five hidden challenge flowers scattered throughout the expansion.

Nomada plans to ship Neva: Prologue as a standalone purchase on February 19, allowing newcomers to experience the story without owning the original title. For fans, the addition deepens the bond between Alba and her wolf companion while expanding the series’ lush, hand‑drawn world. The release gives PlayStation owners fresh content to explore before the next major update.

Critics who praised the original for its “faultless” swordplay and vibrant environments see the expansion as a natural evolution. By adding narrative depth and fresh challenges, Neva: Prologue promises to keep the title relevant in a crowded indie market, while giving PlayStation users a reason to revisit the series later this year.
