Microsoft has launched Copilot Health, an AI tool that consolidates medical records, health history, and fitness data from wearables into a single interface. The company says the tool helps users understand their health information holistically by creating a "coherent story" from disparate data sources. Copilot Health will live in a separate, secure space within the Copilot app and is designed to help users ask better questions during doctor visits.

The tool pulls data from over 50 devices including Apple Watch, Oura, and Fitbit, and can access health records from more than 50,000 US hospitals through HealthEx. It also taps into lab results from Function and provides real-time provider directories to help users find clinicians based on location, specialty, and insurance coverage. Microsoft emphasizes that Copilot Health is not intended for diagnosis or treatment and includes privacy protections like encryption and the ability to delete data.

Microsoft reports that users ask over 50 million health-related questions daily across its AI products. The company built Copilot Health with input from more than 230 physicians and achieved ISO/IEC 42001 certification for its AI management systems. While initially free, Microsoft plans to charge for the service via subscription, though pricing details remain undisclosed.
