Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg unveiled the Meta VR Glasses at its Connect event, set to launch in Spring 2027. Priced at $1,300, these lightweight VR specs weigh just 100 grams, significantly lighter than Apple's Vision Pro. The glasses feature a 5K micro-OLED display, Snapdragon Reality Elite processor, and hand-gesture controls.

They connect to a pocket-sized computing puck with 12GB RAM and 128GB storage. With 70-degree field of view, they offer color passthrough and iris recognition. Over 75 hand-powered games will launch alongside, plus support for Touch Plus controllers.

The device runs Quest OS and includes 3D content from Disney+, Peacock, and National Geographic. Meta's design clearly draws inspiration from Apple's Vision Pro, aiming to offer a more affordable, unobtrusive VR experience.
