Google expands TSA PreCheck Touchless ID to 100 airlines via Wallet

Google is rolling out a Wallet update that will let TSA PreCheck Touchless ID members add their credentials once and skip manual passport entry for each carrier. Currently only a handful of airlines support the service at 65 airports, forcing travelers to re‑enter data flight by flight. The change arrives as the program expands beyond its limited rollout for business travelers.

The new flow requires users to create a digital ID pass in Wallet, check in, and attach the boarding pass. Eligible travelers will see a “get started” button that routes them to a TSA enrollment page, where they consent to share the ID pass and flight details. After TSA approval, a Touchless ID icon appears, granting access to the dedicated security lane.

Google says it is the TSA’s first digital‑wallet partner, and the update will support roughly 100 airlines once live. Data remains encrypted on the device and is transmitted to TSA only after the user unlocks the phone with biometrics or a PIN. Frequent flyers can now manage a single digital ID instead of juggling multiple carrier apps.
