Fender and Samsung announced a native Fender Play app arriving on Samsung TVs in the first half of 2026. First teased at CES, the partnership aims to bring guitar, bass, and ukulele lessons directly to the biggest screen in your house. Subscribers will get video-based instruction without needing extra streaming sticks or phone casting.

The app offers on-demand courses for all skill levels, building lessons around popular tracks from The Beatles' 'Blackbird' to Olivia Rodrigo's 'Drivers License.' A 'Jam Mode' lets confident players back genre-specific playlists. This move makes the service more immediate than its previous mobile-dependent setup, which required pairing devices to a TV.

Fender launched its subscription service back in 2017, competing with platforms like Yousician and JustinGuitar. Priced at $20 monthly or $150 annually, it includes a seven-day trial. However, the app will only support Samsung TVs released in 2025 or newer, leaving owners of older hardware out of the loop for now.
