EA has postponed Battlefield 6 Season 2, moving its release to February 17. Originally slated for January 20, this nearly month-long delay comes directly in response to player complaints following the game's blockbuster October launch. While the title sold over seven million copies in its first three days, recent Steam reviews paint a different picture.

Players have aggressively criticized the game's monetization, calling the Battle Pass 'predatory' and complaining that excessive FOMO tactics make the experience stressful rather than fun. EA acknowledged this feedback, stating they need extra time to polish the upcoming content. To bridge the gap, Season 1 will be extended, introducing the Frostfire Bonus Path on January 20.

This track offers players new free and premium customization rewards, including weapon packages and soldier skins, to keep the community engaged. This move mirrors a common industry trend where developers delay updates to overhaul unpopular systems, hoping to retain a player base that has already shown it's willing to walk away from live-service titles that don't respect their time and wallets.
