Connect Ring Doorbell to Smart TV

Connecting your Ring doorbell to your smart TV allows a live video feed to display when someone rings your doorbell, eliminating the need to check your phone. While Amazon Fire TVs offer the most seamless integration, other brands can achieve the same functionality.

Native support is strongest with Amazon's ecosystem, including Echo Show smart displays and Fire TV devices. Samsung's 2022 and newer Smart TVs integrate via the Smart Things platform. For TVs without native support, a Fire TV Stick or Fire TV Cube can be plugged into an HDMI port to enable Ring integration, picture-in-picture alerts, and Alexa voice commands.

Setting up Ring on Fire TV involves enabling the Ring skill in the Alexa app and linking your Ring account. Once connected, you can enable doorbell press and motion announcements to trigger a picture-in-picture feed on your TV. Samsung TVs require a similar process through the Smart Things app. If neither option is available, screen mirroring your smartphone's Ring app feed to the TV is a workaround, though less efficient.
