Cancelling your PlayStation Plus subscription is a straightforward process, whether you're unhappy with price hikes, the changing game library, or other reasons. You can complete the cancellation through a web browser, the PlayStation app, or directly on your console.

To cancel via the web, sign in to PlayStation.com, navigate to Account Settings, select Subscription, and then Cancel Subscription. On the console, the steps vary slightly between PS4 and PS5. For PS5, go to Settings > Users and Accounts > Account > Payment and Subscriptions, then select your PlayStation Plus subscription and Cancel. For PS4, it's Settings > Account Management > Account Information > Subscriptions, followed by selecting your PlayStation Plus subscription and Cancel.

The PlayStation app also offers a cancellation option. Tap the PS Store, then the menu icon, select Subscription Management, and finally Cancel on your subscription. After cancelling, you won't be charged further and retain access to benefits until the end of the current payment period. Once expired, you'll lose access to the game library, claimed monthly games, online storage, and online multiplayer, though purchased packs, avatars, and discounted items remain yours. You can reactivate your subscription before the next payment date to maintain service.
