Prime Video has released the first trailer for its upcoming series, Blade Runner 2099, confirming a release date of November 25. This marks the franchise's first live-action television series, set approximately 50 years after the events of *Blade Runner 2049*.

The trailer showcases a cyberpunk aesthetic with striking visual effects, hinting at a world where replicants may have become the dominant societal force, with humans in the minority. A war is also referenced as having occurred between the events of the film and the series.

The eight-episode limited series stars Hunter Schafer as blade runner Cora and Michelle Yeoh as a replicant. They reluctantly team up to find a runaway whose hidden truth could endanger their city. Silka Luisa serves as showrunner, with Ridley Scott executive producing. All episodes will be available on Prime Video on November 25.
