A bumper week for indie games brings a mobile version of Ball x Pit, two games called Piece by Piece, and a host of intriguing new releases. Kenny Sun's addictive brick-breaking roguelite arrives on iOS and Android for $10, with the first level free to try. Meanwhile, Gamkat and Neon Polygons both launched games sharing the same name this week, prompting a humorous bundle deal.

Other highlights include Hyperwired, a 2D roguelike shooter where you recharge weapons by plugging into sockets, coming to multiple platforms this summer. ITER-8 blends mining and tower defense for $13 on Steam, while Mr. Magpie's Harmless Card Game offers a minesweeper twist on deckbuilding roguelikes. Herdles, described as "Spyro meets Breath of the Wild with a dog," promises physics-based puzzles without combat.

Upcoming titles worth watching include Hoa 2, a 3D sequel to the hand-painted puzzle platformer arriving later this year, and MotorSlice, a parkour action adventure inspired by Mirror's Edge and Shadow of the Colossus. Kitman lets you manage soccer equipment behind the scenes, while Astrolander from 16-year-old developer Max Trest brings 2.5D platforming to PS5 and Steam. The indie scene continues to deliver creative, diverse experiences across all genres.
