Apple has unveiled the Apple Watch Ultra 4, its latest premium smartwatch, focusing on enhanced health and fitness features rather than a major redesign. The device boasts improved battery life, offering up to 84 hours in low power mode and 50 hours for regular use, with a dedicated 25-hour extended workout mode. A new S11 chip powers faster performance, while an upgraded sensor system with more capable LEDs improves heart rate monitoring accuracy.

This data powers a new daily readiness score, analyzing activity, training load, vitals, and sleep to provide personalized recommendations on a 0-10 scale. The Health app gains an AI-powered insights tab, summarizing health data with Apple Intelligence. Additionally, the Ultra 4 supports VO2 Max testing and introduces audio intelligence features, like notifications for environmental sounds.

The design remains similar, available in natural and black titanium, with new band options including a Hermès version with a Grand H titanium band featuring an extension for wet suits. Priced at $799, the Ultra 4 targets fitness enthusiasts seeking advanced tracking.
