Anthropic Launches Reflect Dashboard for Claude Usage Tracking

Anthropic has released Reflect, a new usage dashboard for Claude that blends Spotify Wrapped-style summaries with screen-time management tools. The feature arrives in beta on the Claude web client and desktop app, with mobile support planned. Free accounts gain access alongside Pro and Max subscribers, a notable inclusion for a wellbeing-focused feature. Users can review monthly, quarterly, or annual conversation summaries, see their most active day and peak hour, and browse a topic breakdown with percentage allocations. A fluency-recommendation engine suggests workflow improvements — such as using Projects to avoid repeated context or creating custom fact-checking skills — based on actual usage patterns.

The dashboard also includes configurable break reminders and time limits under a separate "Time and focus" tab. Notably, total time spent chatting isn't yet displayed; Ryn Linthicum, Anthropic's head of wellbeing policy, told Engadget the metric wasn't tracked internally because the product team "didn't want to maximize" it. That data will surface later alongside the management settings. Linthicum said Reflect emerged from a Societal Impacts study where participants voiced both optimism and anxiety about AI usage, and the goal is helping users "get more efficient at meeting their goals, and hopefully get off of Claude."

This positions Anthropic as the first major AI lab to ship native digital-wellbeing tooling directly into its chatbot, rather than relying on OS-level controls. The fluency recommendations are genuinely useful — they surface features users might not discover — but the absence of time-spent data at launch weakens the screen-time analogy. If Anthropic follows through on mobile parity and time metrics, Reflect could set a baseline expectation for responsible AI interface design across the industry.
