Anbernic's modern take on the Game Boy Advance SP, the RG SP, is set to launch on August 5 at 6 AM ET/3 AM PT. This clamshell handheld will start at $65, with early bird pricing offering a discount for the first three days of availability.

The RG SP is Anbernic's third GBA SP reimagining, following the RG 35XXSP and RG 34XXSP. It features a 3.4-inch display matching the original GBA SP's aspect ratio and a 3,300mAh battery promising six hours of gameplay. Notably, it omits the analog sticks found on the RG 34XXSP.

Powered by the H700 chip, the RG SP is capable of emulating games up to the PSP generation. The base model costs $65, with a 64GB memory upgrade priced at $80 and a 128GB option at $95. Anbernic is offering a $7 discount for purchases made within the initial three-day sales window.
