8BitDo rolls out the Arcade Controller Pro, its second leverless fighting pad aimed at competitive players. The rectangular device replaces the joystick with five buttons—one more than the original model—allowing all inputs and movement to be handled by the hands. Smaller caps and tighter spacing promise quicker access during intense combos. Its design mimics music production pads, confusing newcomers but rewarding veterans.

New features include a built‑in OLED screen that displays inputs and battery level, plus controls for connection mode and volume. A tournament lock prevents accidental presses, while hot‑swappable switches let users install round caps from any angle. These options let players ergonomics for marathon sessions, a rarity among arcade peripherals. The controller ships with interchangeable flat lock caps and a magnetic wrist rest.

Wired play works on Windows and Switch, with a metal lock that secures the USB‑C cable from top or side. Wireless mode uses 2.4 GHz on PC or Bluetooth on Switch, delivering roughly 15 hours of use when RGB lighting is disabled. Pricing and launch date remain unannounced, but the Pro targets the niche of serious arcade fighters.
