Apple announced visionOS 27 at WWDC 2026, the second major software update for its Vision Pro headset. The new operating system integrates Apple Intelligence with Google Gemini backend, positioning Vision Pro as the platform most impacted by AI advancements this year.

Key features include Spatial Panoramas that convert standard panoramas into interactive 3D environments, plus a new Siri widget allowing hands-free voice interaction without a wake word. The Photos app gains Spatial Reframing, an AI tool that can reframe images, rotate subjects separately from backgrounds, and extend image edges.

Vision Pro will also receive accessibility improvements including eye-tracking wheelchair control, AI-generated video subtitles, and the new natural language Voice Control. The updates represent Apple's continued investment in spatial computing as a distinct computing category separate from traditional iOS and macOS.
