US Mint's 'Limited Edition' Steve Jobs Coin No Longer Limited

The US Mint's commemorative Steve Jobs coin, which initially sold out in just 11 minutes in March, was briefly back on sale on Thursday. Released in May 2026, the coin, intended to honor American innovation, faced immediate demand despite its resemblance to Jobs being debated.

Although the US Mint's listing stated it was a limited pressing, the coin reappeared, raising questions about the extent of its limitation. It's possible a portion of the initial pressing was held back. The coins were available in 25-coin rolls for $61 and 100-coin bags for $154.40, plus shipping, through the US Mint's online store.

Reports suggest a total of 1,233,750 coins were produced across Denver and Philadelphia facilities, surpassing previous American Innovation releases. The US Mint confirmed there would not be a second stamping but indicated the coin would be included in the Reverse Proof Set later in 2026, making it the last unreleased product featuring the coin.
