Every year, someone brings out cases for the new [iPhones](https://appleinsider.com/inside/iphone "iPhone") early and every year, you risk utterly wasting your money. It's safer to wait.

It's not long now until the launch of the [iPhone 18 Pro](https://appleinsider.com/inside/iphone-18 "iPhone 18"), with the smart money saying it will be on [September 9, 2026](https://appleinsider.com/articles/26/08/07/when-to-expect-apples-iphone-18-pro-launch). Even if that's wrong, though, one thing is unquestionably right: you must not buy a case early.

As spotted by Mark Gurman, Otterbox has made cases for the iPhone 18 Pro, and Best Buy is stocking them.
