Epic doesn't believe in compromise unless it is with Google

The vendetta Epic Games holds against Apple seemingly won't let it accept any settlement beyond complete surrender, but it wants to participate "in good faith."

Apple shared its latest [proposed commission rates](https://appleinsider.com/articles/26/08/13/apples-latest-commission-rates-for-external-app-store-purchases-havent-satisfied-epic) in an attempt to satisfy an ongoing lawsuit with Epic Games, but they were instantly dismissed by the company. In that filing, Apple suggested that a settlement conference should take place.

Epic [filed its response](https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.cand.364265/gov.uscourts.cand.364265.1713.0.pdf) on Monday, and very briefly implied that Apple wasn't being serious in its filings. However, if the court ordered a settlement conference, Epic would participate.
