Apple CEO Tim Cook announced that Apple will donate to relief efforts following devastating flooding in Nepal and Tibet. The floods along the Nepal-Tibet border have caused hundreds of deaths, with hundreds more missing, destroying bridges and entire towns.

Cook shared the message on his X/Twitter account, stating: "Our thoughts are with all those affected by the tragic flash floods and mudslides in Nepal and Tibet. Apple is making a donation to support relief and rebuilding efforts on the ground."

This marks another instance of Cook pledging aid during natural disasters, following recent support for European wildfires and Venezuelan earthquakes. The announcement comes as Cook prepares to step down as CEO, with John Ternus set to replace him on September 1, 2026. Cook will transition to Executive Chairman.

As with previous donations, Apple has not specified the amount or form of aid provided. The company typically announces support for relief efforts without detailing contributions retrospectively.
