Apple CEO Tim Cook announced the company will donate to support relief efforts following Indonesia's devastating 7.7-magnitude earthquake. The announcement came via Twitter, where Cook stated, "Our hearts are with the people of Indonesia following the devastating earthquake. We are grateful for the first responders giving support and helping those in need. Apple is donating to support the relief efforts on the ground."

As with previous disaster responses, Cook did not specify the donation amount or recipient organizations. Over the past two months, Apple has supported relief efforts in Venezuela, Southern Europe, and Japan, continuing its history of responding to global emergencies through both direct donations and its Employee Giving program.

Apple's Employee Giving initiative has raised over $880 million through donation matching. The company's humanitarian focus has been a hallmark of Cook's leadership, with expectations that this commitment will continue under incoming CEO John Ternus.
