Rumors persist about an OLED iPad mini, with a recent claim suggesting mass production is underway for a launch in the second half of 2026 at the earliest. Currently, only the iPad Pro features an OLED display among Apple's tablet lineup.

According to a post by leaker Yeux1122 on Naver, the new iPad mini will sport an 8.4-inch LTPS rear panel with hybrid OLED technology and a 60Hz refresh rate. This would be an upgrade from the current iPad mini's 8.3-inch LED-backlit IPS display.

Yeux1122's track record is considered average, with some accurate information surfacing occasionally. However, the prediction aligns with previous leaks, including a December 2024 roadmap and a Bloomberg report from October 2025, which also pointed to an OLED iPad mini release in 2026. Another leaker in November 2025 indicated a late 2026 launch.
