A Reddit project using generative coding tools has released Nvidia Metal graphics drivers for Hackintosh builds and Intel PCI-E Macs running Sequoia. The driver currently supports only the Nvidia 5060 card, with plans for expansion. Built on Mesa's NVK Vulkan driver, it enables desktop, Metal 3, apps, and games to run on the Nvidia hardware. A setup app assists with installation.
The effort remains very early, with known issues and no Apple Silicon compatibility. Users should proceed with caution.
This development could open new GPU options for Intel-based Mac Pro owners and Hackintosh enthusiasts seeking modern Nvidia performance under macOS Sequoia.
