James Marsden is set to star and executive produce "Disavowed" for Apple TV, a new thriller series about a wrongly disgraced CIA agent. Marsden will play Brad Griffin, an agent abruptly fired while hunting an assassin who killed his partner. The show comes from creators Art Marcum and Matt Holloway, known for writing "Iron Man" and "Men in Black: International."

The series follows Griffin as he works to find the assassin and claim the $15 million bounty on his head, despite having the entire CIA against him. Described as having elements of "Burn Notice," "Disavowed" is specifically designed as a continuing series rather than a limited run. Marcum and Holloway have twice been nominated for "Worst Screenplay" at the Golden Raspberry Awards.
