iPhone 18 Cases Return to MagSafe Circle Design

Leaked images suggest Apple may return to the original MagSafe circle design for its iPhone 18 clear cases. Purposed photos circulating on Chinese social media show the new models featuring circular markings instead of the large white panels found on iPhone 17 cases. This potential shift addresses user complaints about the lack of transparency in previous clear cases, restoring the product's core functionality.

The iPhone 17 clear cases featured prominent white rectangular regions with rounded corners, defeating the purpose of a clear case. Despite the MagSafe magnets being lowered in position, the white panel remained unchanged. This design choice meant customers couldn't actually see their iPhone's color through the case, defeating the primary purpose of a transparent accessory and creating unnecessary visual obstruction.

If the leaks prove accurate, this change would restore functionality to Apple's clear cases while maintaining MagSafe compatibility. The circular design helps users properly position their device for wireless charging while preserving visibility of the iPhone's color. Apple has yet to confirm these designs, but the leaked images suggest a return to user-focused design principles.
