Apple reopened its Passeig de Gràcia store in Barcelona after approximately three months of renovations. The flagship location, which opened in 2012, occupies a prime spot on one of the city's most popular avenues inside a historic former bank building with a distinctive stone facade. It stands among Apple's most prominent European retail spaces.

According to Spanish site Applesfera, the renovation replaced the store's large video wall with a dedicated Apple Pickup station for online orders. Workers removed the indoor trees and wood cube seating that previously surrounded the screen area. These changes expose the building's iconic glass staircase, restoring its visual prominence within the retail space.

Crews also refreshed the terrazzo flooring with a brighter white finish, updating the space's aesthetic. The redesign reflects Apple's shift toward emphasizing pickup services and product accessibility over media displays. This marks another evolution in the company's retail strategy as it adapts physical locations to changing consumer shopping habits.

The renovation underscores how Apple continues refining its retail approach, prioritizing functional pickup infrastructure while maintaining the architectural character that makes its stores destinations rather than just retail points.
